I'm looking to strap some off-road suspension on my GS500.

For my front end, I plan on getting a front end off a big KTM, and then having a custom yoke made (I've found a local company willing to give it a bash), or possibly (unlikely) modify the standard front yoke. Now, what things do I need to take into consideration when doing this?

Rear end, I plan on getting something like a GSXF rear end, and then shorter dog bones to jack it up a bit.

I, ideally, don't want to make the handling any worse, is there any formula to help prevent this?

For rear suspention RGV 250 and sv650 will go in easy, The SVshock is longer than the RGV one thus makes the rear highier this requires a bit of modification to fit but the rgv shock will be softer and go straight in, it stil raises the rear abit.

get a complete front end from a xr600 or klr or ktm including the yokes ect,
then all you have to do is change the stems,
far easier and cheaper than getting 2 yokes made,
rear suspension.... well the obvious choice would be to get something off a dirt bike, including the suspension knuckle (cushion lever) then fettle it to fit the gs frame
