Im after some info on liners basically. I have a mini moto barrel that i want to fit a liner to. obviously i can't get a proper one so i would have to make one. I don't care if i cock it up, its only a mini project.

I have a few questions:

Would i be ble to get a good enough finish on the inside of the bore for a good seal on a lathe? I dont need it to be super reliable as new pistons are only a few quid.

What is the best material to make one out of? I know they are commonly made of cast iron, but would i be able to use mild steel?

Any suggestions welcome.
