Dropped my Galaxy S2 yesterday, the screen glass has shattered nicely, but at least the LCD is still working.

Having had a quick google, it looks like it's necessary to replace the LCD and the screen together (the LCD seems to be bonded to the glass, and trying to separate them usually ends up fucking the LCD).

Couple of questions:

1) Anyone on here replaced just the glass on a Galaxy S2?

2) Any recommendations for good places to get mobile spares from? Cheap and reliable would be nice, but I'd favour reliable over cheap.

Thumbs Up

You could take it to your mobile phone repair shop and ask how much it would cost for labour if you brought him the replacement to fit it to save some money, as that maybe a better choice for you if have never done it before on a mobile because he will have all the tools and knowledge in how to take it apart!

Thanks for the reply, but it's certainly a job I can do myself.

I broke mine last year and from what I read it was very difficult/near impossible to just change the glass. So I ended up buying the whole unit and replacing it myself,.cost was about £120. It's an easy job to do it, takes maybe 10/15 minutes. Theres a few videos on youtube showing you how to do it.
