Okay i was on the way to taking my bike for its first service when a police car flashed me over.
he said he had been behind me for a quite a while and witnessed me doing a wheelie and allot of late dangerous braking.
How annoying is that !

Anybody else been pulled for getting the front wheel up ?
That's all I did, not a proper full blown wheelie

"skluff" That's a good point right there hahaha
Danger to other road uses and I was doing a little over the limit.

He was telling me he had a bike to !, he should respect the need to wheelie surely !

I got pulled over again last tuesday was going across a juntion (Shitty junction at that) and i new there was a car behind me,I pinned it straight over the road got about 100 metres and the lights came on for apparently "Accelerating harshly" what a crock of shit, Before people say why accelerate quick with a copper behind you as i no someone will.
It was foggy as fuck and i wanted to get across junction quickly as cars goes past it bloody quick

Visibility was was probably 10 - 15 meteres at a guess

Visibility starts dropping like that I start playing a cautious game, however

Two things;

Did he report you for due care and attention or just give you a tug followed by an "on ya way"?

and

Did you get air under the front wheel?

No i have to admit Karma for the 2 coppers they where actually really nice. Was more of a safety speech than a telling off 1 of them said he could kind of see why but was still not an excuse

Let me go with a "Be careful" speech

No mention of exhaust noise

And no the front wheel stayed planted

Hmm.....I've not actually read it, but I'm sure I heard something about the bike version of Roadcraft advocating exactly that - it's safer to use your better acceleration to get up to the speed limit as quickly as possible, leaving a larger, safer gap behind you as a result.

By the same token people have been prosecuted for lack of due care and attention when accelerating too harshly.

Accelerating into reduced visibility isn't something I'd be inclined to recomend to anyone.
