Hello there all. I went out today and got myself a soldering iron and I want to change the indicators on my bike. I just wanted to know if these were legal https://www.mandp.co.uk/netalogue/content/images/large/500168.jpg and I don't want to mess around with resistors so I didn't go for a LED pair. Will these be ok? 12v/23w bulbs and also will I need a spacer to fit on a 03 600rr? I would be very grateful for any help you guys/ladys can give, thanks

If I was you, instead of soldering, I'd do what I just did with my mate's bike. We bought a bag of male and female bullet connectors and fitted them instead. This means if you ever want to change back to the standard indicators it's much easier

Plus fitting bullet connectors is probably quicker.

I am personally not a fan of tinted lights.

I wouldn't fancy crashing and then have the other person argue that they couldn't see my signal.

I remember someone on the ZZR forum had all their lights tinted. It looked great. But in a crash it would give the other driver something to argue whether your lights could be seen or not.

Tinted visor I don't mind. But indicators, now there's the line. It depends on the percentage of tint I guess. But I wouldn't go there. Indicators show other drivers where you're going. And as we know, no one falls off on their on actions. Razz

Treat everyone else on the road as idiots. Best advice I've been given.

Plus as it's already been said, they can use it as an excuse, and their insurers will jump at it.

If you want to tint you're indicators then I see it as you might as well not have them. Tinting them to make them less obvious, then why have them? Confused

You're call I'm afraid. Thumbs Up

Agree 100% with the treat others as if your invisible to them. I have decided against the tinted indicators due to said reasons, I hadn't considered the arguments given. I think I will go for a amber flush-mount indicator. But could someone advise on what the last given link looks like in reality? Will the indicator be too small to be clearly visible? I was thinking the black plastic with amber indicator lens...
