Just wondering if anyone uses these on a day to day basis, im really starting to do more and more photoshop related work and thinking one of these might be more useful than a mouse. I know they would be a bit hard to get used to but am willing to give it a shot.

Anyone got any experence with them?

I've got one at home but rarely use it as I'm crap at drawing. I do like how the line width increases when you press harder on the tablet. Other than that though, I prefer a mouse. I guess it depends on what you're doing with Photoshop as well.

I get spells of taking lots of photos and some do require a total cut out and i was thinking it might be better from going around the edges of the products etc.

I take a lot of photos of family so it would be used for touch ups on images.

I used to do a lot of drawing when i was younger and was not bad at it, not great but i did like it.

I think i will get one but what one there is a large range of them out there.

I bought a Wacom Volito 2 a while back and to be honest didn't persevere with it for long enough. They take a fair bit of getting used to. But it is a nice piece of kit and I will someday dig it out and apply myself to learning it properly.

I use a Wacom Saphire graphic tablet and is much better to control than a mouse for intricate work.

Don't go for a cheap brand allot don't have the pressure settings, also bigger is not always better with them. I prefer the A5 sized one as the A4 isn't as accurate.

i used to use mine when working with maya and poser but unfortually ive lost the pen to it so im stuck using the mouse for now

but using a pen really helps in getting doing the fine details on some drawings

Got a cheap a6 wacom graphire at work for when i broke my arm and could rest it on my lap. Totally replaced my mouse now. Agree about the bigger isnt better as if you need to move the cursor from one side of the screen to another regularly wafting your hand across an a4 or a3 size pad gets tiring. Does take a little getting used to but im used to it now and find a mouse far too clumsy.
