as per title really passed my test this morning so im chuffed to bits!!! its on a restricted licence as im only 19 but on my way home i popped into a bike shop and found a nice suzuki sv650 sitting there for £1700 on a W plate, looks clean and ran fine but looking at other ads it seems very cheap??

anyway if anyone can give me advice on it that would be great!!!

Mileage is important as well. An SV is an ideal first bike, but you should be able to get one a bit cheaper than that if you don't mind it being a bit shabby.

Thats pretty much top price for an SV of that age, but it is in a dealer so will be a little on the pricey side anyway. You have to weigh up the peace of mind you get from a dealer against the extra money you spend.

You'll need to get some restrictors too.

Buy them from the main dealer they will be cheaper.


Suzuki do free restrictors on the newer ones.

There was a really nice black SV on here that Keir was trying to sell but having no luck. That appeared to be pretty much mint and had f all miles on it
