I've just bought a bike with a Datatool System 3 fitted, and there is an option to disarm the bike without the key fob incase anything ever happens to it. Now the previous owner has already set this and I'm struggling to get in contact with him, and the Datatool places I've called haven't been particularly helpful. One of the dealers said it should have come with a red card (like a credit card) with the original PIN number on it, but the service manual says that the alarm comes without one set. This dealer said they'd probably need this (although he didn't sound too sure) to unlock the pin code otherwise anyone could unlock the alarm. The bike came with a box full of loads of reciepts, datatool manuals and even a little Datatool sticker but no red card, so I'm not entirely sure it was supplied with one.

Can anyone tell me if they do/don't come with this card? Does anyone have eny experience with fitting these alarms?

Cheers Thumbs Up

The red card with pin code would be a Meta Alarm.

Give Data-tool a call and they will sort you out.

Cheers, called Datatool's main office rather than a dealer and they confirmed the red card was Meta alarms. Guy on the phone said they take the alarm apart and change something (probably just reset a chip)

Or get the alarm removed and buy a BFO lock, chain and ground anchor. I've removed so many alarms in my time, they go wrong and immobilise the bike, which is the usual reason for it.

Cheers
