I was thinking about moving the licence plate, more under the rear arch, keeping it visible.

Is there a law against this?

Some flat bed lorrys have there plate tucked right under neath.

If it is against the law, what is the penality? just a fine and/or point?

It has to be at a certain angle from horizontal, and has to be a certain distance from the rear tyre, hence the scafolding you get on the R6 as standard.

Currently you can't get points for it, it's just a £60 fine.

We don't run a licence plate system in this country. HTH

Have you been watching too much American television or something?
