In short, will they kill me new pads i've just put in?

I've only noticed they are slightly warped since replacing the pads.

I could only imagine they might cause a but of unusual or uneven wear, which would be ironed out when you put in new discs....

I wouldn't panic about it, especially given how cheap pads are.

That sounds like the pads could have caused the disks to warp.
My YZF750 warped its first disks before it was a year old. Apparently they changed the specification of the pads after as the originals were too hard and caused the disks to overheat.
The second set of disks didn't warp, but they were under the minimum thickness after 10,000 miles.
All the above is from road use, not track days so its not like it was under extreme conditions.

Hi

Don't think the warped disks will damage the pads, but the pads will wear to the disks hence should be replaced when you fit new disks.

All the best

I had a warped disc on my Blade in Japan (somebody tried to bust the disc-lock off it). It wasn't the uneven wear that bothered me so much as the 'interesting' braking characteristics from high-speed. Very hazardous to say the least.

My yzf was like that. You didn't really notice it at low speeds but anything about 80 would have the brake lever pulsing and the bars would shake about a bit. Not quite a full on tankslapper, but enough to induce severe buttock clenching..... Shocked
