I really dont understand what people that post shit like this or gory pictures of motorbike accidents hope to achieve.

Its really not going to make anyone think 'oh wait remember that picture' before they open it up.

Especially in this instance when it wasn't really down to the speed of the biker but more the speed/position of the car that struck him.

Ne'er mind, repost anyway

I think you have miss understood my point, I didn't make this post trying to say the biker should have done this or that and that it could have been avoided. My point was next time your in the car or bike having fun, think what consequences your actions may have on others and how it can come back and bite you on the arse should it all go wrong.

Another point of this was if you read about what the other road users told the police about his driving you'll see they seem to have exaggerated his actions. The point im trying to make is think about how others perceive your driving and what they might say if it all went wrong 30 seconds after you have just done a dodgey overtake.

Some people on this forum are very helpful and know their stuff but there seems to be quite a few jumped up idiots on here nowadays, don't really post on here much and I remember why now.

I have read the diary from another forum

I understand your point and I still stand by mine, I dont see why people post horror stories (If you will take it as that) in order to make people think of their actions before they do something.

Also I pay my neccesary costs to drive on the road and aslong as I am not breaking the law, I dont see why I should have to take into account of what other people think of me?

@ that last statement, I give people advice if I know im 100% correct in what im saying. In threads like this I will give my opinion, as im rightful allowed to do so on a forum?

Just becuase someone disagrees with you does not mean they are wrong, does it?

Warning for all?

Quote:
When the accident happened, 4 of the first few cars on the scene happened to be high performance Hondas. A couple of the Civics had windows stickers with the club URL on them. It didn't take a rocket scientist to find out what my username was, and within a few hours of the accident the Police had downloaded the forum and printed out all of my comments. In the light of the events that day, some of the comments on the Civic forum turned out to be very damning. People who didn't know the context in which they were being said, or the character who was saying them would have to take the comments on face value, and face value said that I was a boy racing tw*t.

Possibly the single most annoying thing anyone can do on BCF. No offence. Read a similar thread before, people? Use that left facing arrow at the top left of your screen. Thumbs Up

Thankfully, those that ride motorbikes shouldn't have to go to prison for 12 months, as alot of the time its the cagers fault (like in this story). Theres no way that could have been turned around so that the bike caused the car to crash.

The fact is plenty of bikers fuck up and go head on into cars etc but the driver is unlikely to be hurt so the rider doesnt go to prison.

That seems very worrying, to what extent can courts place weight on "online" evidence.

I'd be the first one to say that my online and real-life personalities are totally different.

I place no weight upon anything electronic, and I act accordingly.

Apologies if I've offended you in some way with my comment, it certainly wasn't intended.

Really? You over-cook a corner, drifting onto the wrong side of the road. An oncoming car swerves to avoid you and ends up in a ditch.
