When I brought my CBR 125 one of the left blubs went, I went to Halfords and brought a replacement. After a few weeks the other side went and then I decided to go and purchase a upgrade set of xenon from ebay.

I've just installed them on Monday and one of the blubs (left) has blown out.

When I rev the engine slightly I can notice the blubs going a fraction brighter.

Would anybody know why they would be blowing... could it be a voltage issue?

Thanks

It's normal for the bulbs to get brighter when the revs are higher, worth checking the voltage with a meter on the battery and revving the engine at the same time. Could've been a dodgy bulb, bad earth on the other bulb making more current flow through the one that keeps blowing maybe?

check voltage at 5500 RPM on the battery . it must be around 14.2 VDC , if voltage is more , it's normal that your bulbs blow out . it's possible also that your battery is worn and dont ask enough courant to keep voltage down
