Hid are supposed to be self leveling, So unless fitted as standard your unlikely to get a sel leveling one (which would required the whole light assebly to be changed, and made fo that bike).
just fit the upgrade kit in such a way so that when it's MOT time you can pop the original bulb in
Som hid kits are better than others with reagrds to beam pattern just have a play with the aim until th cagers stop flashing at you !

MOT has nothing to do with legality, If the beam pattern is ok then the bike will pass if it isn't then the bike will be dazzling other drivers anyway and shouldn't be on the road.  ____________________ Andy Sez....
