Hi, when i start my bike and let it run for say 5 minutes, ill return to a puddle about the size of a fist of fluid coming from the collector box and another, smaller, puddle from the silencer.
Ive smelt it and its not oil, and it doesnt smell strongly of petrol, but you can tell that petrol is present. (it actually feels quite thick)
Might be worth mentioning i only get the bike out one a week/fortnight to warm it up and clean it/treat it for corrosion etc. due to difficulties with the bikes registration.

Any ideas, Andy

I think it is just condensation, one of the major products of combustion is H2O and the bike never realy gets up to race temperature. She needs a good thrashing.

End cans have small holes to let excess water drain out usually where they meet the collector box. Exhausts rot from the inside out and once holes appear in the mild steel its new exhaust time as they will get bigger and bigger.
