Hi guys as the title says i need help. So far things haven't been going too well for me grades wise but i have managed to get in to uni, have 2 A levels and 9 GCSE's. I want a part time job to start working towards a career, i want something to do with cars or bikes as this is what i know most about. So my question is where should i start and what kind of places would be most likely to give me a chance?
Just so you know i'm 18 and live in London.
Thanks for any help. ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

I'm studying Business and marketing at uni which has nothing to do with cars or bikes i know but my grades limited my choice. I want a part time job to gain experience as well as a bit of money. ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

First thing to do is go and book an appointment with your careers counsellor at your University. Plenty of opportunities are posted there and they 'should' give you plenty of good advice - after all, it is their job.

Ahh ok, how about doing something like motorsport engineering then? It maybe harder to get onto that course due to the limited numbers but i've heard it is VERY interesting.
If i could afford to go 4/5 years being skint and i failed at being a doctor then i would definatley do that. ____________________ It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, then it's bloody hilarious!!! |

A great friend of mine joined the Royal Marines and has worked as a mechanic with everything you can imagine that has an engine and wheels. He's mainly a desk jockey now due to promotions but he loves his bikes and his job, albeit not quite as much just at the mo (he's in Afghanistan )
The garage where I have my car and bike tinkered with always have a couple of apprentices of a weekend - just a naive thought as I don't suppose it'll pay very well. ____________________ 'The core of a man's spirit comes from new experiences'
