Been pondering about getting a GS500F, all shiney and new from Suzi on 0% over 2.5 years.

https://www.suzukicycles.com/images/ProductImages/logo/500/GS500FK8.jpg

Dont know about Blue/white or Blakity Black though.
Anyways, Pros/Cons would be greatly received.

Peace

Pay a little bit more and get a Bandit or an SV Thumbs Up

They'll both be better bikes and hold their value much better.

Insurance is a factor aswell innit.

For the GS500F its 532 a year, fully comp 250 excess
For a SV650S K8 its 615 fully comp 500 excess
For a Bandit 600 its 603 fully comp with a 250 excess

Its gonna be my 1st Bigger Boyz Bike, so its a given that i will let it lay down a few times.

In other news, the premium for my CLR125 should drop from 300 tpft to 200 for fully comp. Bonus!!!

The newer the bike, the higher the insurance.
Get a 99/00 SV650 for 1k; you'll have a cheaper (and a fair bit better) bike and probably a fair bit cheaper insurance... especially as it'd be much more sensible to go for TPO.

+1 on what G said. There are much better bikes to be had for less money if you go second hand. The GS500 hates winter too.
