Roads have been snowed over for the last 3 days and still no gritters. Apparently the council haven't paid the gritters and so they are not coming out.

Had to go out earlier and had no grip what so ever. I must have pushed my bike more that I rode it - fucking travesty!!

lol, down the road here in Elgin we've still got severe ice and snow, though only just starting to clear up. Have to say, the major roads were gritted well.

Went to Aberdeen yesterday, most of the main roads were fine, a few little side roads were bad though mind.

Never saw a gritter around our way all weekend. Roads have cleared themselves now but even the dual carriageway south was covered in slush and effectively down to one lane at lunchtime today.

Aberdeen council do have some great ideas dont they? It will save us 30k this winter gritting the roads 3 hrs later a day - and how much extra is going to cost in wasted police, fire and and ambulance service time as they struggle to get to people all over the area who have crashed off the road/into each other due to the lack of gritters? Not mention all the extra beds in forresterhill being taken up with a deluge of coffin dodgers needing hip replacements after being forced to attempt their daily trip to the paper shop on an uncleared pavement!

Bunch of twats! Thumbs Down

I remember delivering off a firestorm I had sold to it's new owner in Edinburgh and it was the heaviest snow period of that year on that particular day. Sphincter tightening stuff, ain't it. Mr. Green

Great fun though.

The 'Speed Kills' safety-nazi message loses the moral high ground completely when you get councils risking thousands of lives by not adequately gritting roads. Didn't you lot get loads of snow too?

Fecking scum councils. Shooting's too good for 'em. Middle Finger
