Story: Not long ago I had a small incident which caused the bike to fall onto its side. Since then the left clip on has been a bit loose and I've been tightening it every now and then. Today I tightened a bit too much.
I came to some lights and thought it'd be neat to pull a little stoppie. BAM!
Miracle that I didn't fall, but I got lunged into the screen and it hurt quite a bit.
Very strange riding with one hand and the clutch just loose in your left.
Looking further I can see that the bolt had been twisted off, and now I've got a piece stuck in the actual handle... Anything I can do apart from buy a new one? Not too keen on having to remove clutch, blinkers, horn and choke...
And just to piss me off some more I felt my tyre had too little air in it. No shit: A screw is smack centre in the rear, all the way in!

Sound familiar to your loose clipon? Laughing

You can try drilling it you, or use a smaller drill and use a stud/screw extractor.

Is there any part of the bolt stucking out? you could try gripping it with pliers to loosen it and then just unscrew it with your hands.

But i can't understand why it would come loose every other day, apart from the fact that your a little weakling and can't tighten the bolts enough. Apart from the day that you sheared it off Laughing

A pic might help in folk giving you ideas on how to get it out.

I had a word with the mechs today and I bought a new clipon. Cost me 20 euros, so not a bother.
Basically the hollow part of the tube was a bit bent, so not a prefect fit. This caused a bit of play which got bigger and bigger giving the impression of a loose bolt, but I was actually not screwing the screw in, I was twisting it beyond it's stress levels. But it wasn't hard to turn it, so I can't understand it...
Anyway I'll just leave the bike before school and pick it up after and while they're at it they can fix my tyre.

Driving through rush hour traffic with one hand and a loose clutch grip in the other is quite an experience! I only have on mirror, which I fold up anyway, so you can imagine the spaces you get though when one handle is off!
