I bought a new car a couple of weeks ago and thought it was about time I got some pictures. Obviously the weather's crap though, so it's dirty.

Anyway, it's a late 2004 Audi S4. It's a 4.2 litre V8, which produces a bucket-load of power and torque. It doesn't, however, manage to pass very many petrol stations without the overwhelming urge to pull in for a refill...

Lol nah it's from experience of being on the roads here (everyone around here seems to drive either audis or bmws and a lot of them aren't fantastic drivers). Plus it wasn't a serious statement, think you may need to lighten up a tad.

The seats look like they'd be pretty comfy, but what's with the dash and gearbox area etc, looks like it came out of a bottom spec A4 Confused You'd think they'd make it a bit more fancy and plush. Otherwise nice car, as you say quick wash wouldn't have gone a miss though.

The man has a point (both Evil Dude UK, and Clarkson). The general standard of Audi drivers has taken a tumble in recent years, because they've become "cool", and therefore the old BMW drivers have migrated.

If a car rushes up and sits three inches off my back bumper on the motorway, I can guarantee it'll be some clueless nonce in an Audi or VW (VAG group cars tend to be the worst in general), for whom my 85mph just isn't enough to get where they want to go, and they must pass at all costs, regardless of whether there is space for me to pull back into the inside lane, or whether when I move they'll just be behind another car anyway.

I'm sure Silver is a reasonable chap and doesn't drive like this, but I have to unscientifically conclude that Clarkson is indeed correct and that the majority of Audi drivers are cocks.

Nice motah...

Serious mode on/...The best thing to wash a black car in is Lynx shower gel, doesn't matter which one and yes it'll smell fruity for a few days, the Missus used to have a black Punto years back and I'd got no car shampoo one day so I used Lynx, it stayed shiney for about two weeks, then when I had to wash it again I just rinsed it off with the hose and wiped it over with a shammy and it came up looking like brand new again...

Everyone I've told to try this has agreed lol...so remember you heard it from me...Serious mode off/...

Tits arse fanny... Thumbs Up

Is it me who only finds Audi's quite drab? It just looks like every other A4 to me with different badges.

Infact most German cars are far to austere for my liking these days.

That would be because it is an A4 with different badges that match the sportier setup.

Drab eh Skoda boy? Wink

About 75bhp, a second to 60, 1mpg, some even fancier Recaros and a shitload of attitude. The S4 is nice in an understated sort of way, the RS4 is nice in a "kicks an M3's arse" sort of way.

An Old Cunt Smile, 33? oh dear best go out and buy a pipe and some slippers for you Smile.

As for an Audi sitting 3 inchs off my arse, who gives a shit, at the end of the day if he goes up the back of you his air bags'll go off and he won't be able to drive away and you claim off his insuranceand if you have any witnesses there's a fair chance he'll get done for driving without due car or dangerous driving... PLus audi's have pretty decent brakes, it's not like have a transhit van sitting on your arse Smile.

Sure. When I've finished acting like a kid, doubling the speed limit and drinking my body weight in lager each weekend. Don't hold your breath.
