unlucky dude.

oh! and buses/lorries find it rather difficult to go round a mini roundabout Confused

Yeah i was cooperative with them, i admitted making mistake... Really the only thing that i could have said, i could have mentioned the bus thing but he seemed quite cold and thoughtless, his female partner in crimefighting was sweet though.

Wouldn't worry too much.

Was only a £30 fine.

I think the thinking behind them is to make a reasonable effort to go around them. There are some on my road which are impossible to go completely round. It's amusing to watch people who aren't local do it, only to end up on the pavement!

Not worrying about it, was quite novel being first time being pulled over lol just have to make sure i wont do it again, whats crazy about the mini roundabout is i have to practically pootle around it walking speed, made sure it was all clear and done it, and feckers where waiting there to catch anyone doing it.

That's pretty harsh in my oppinion.

When I was riding a supermoto, I NEVER went round mini roundabouts, always over the top. Same with some of the not-quite as-mini roundabouts if I was in the mood.

It's like the whole not supposed to be doing jumps off the top of speed humps on the girlfriends YB100 all over again.

I never go over mini roundabouts anyway, they just feel so slippy it's faster for me to go around.

In the highway code somewhere that long vechiles such as lorrys and bus's dont need to go around as it isnt always possible.
mite of came up on mt theory test, or my speed course one of em. as it made me laugh, the speed i see some people go into em and then make decisions is hilarious. any more than 45ish into mini roundabouts if ur plannin on going round here is silly.

law states that you must go around the roundabout, unless it is physically impossible to do so, and if the roundabout is as small as you say then buses will have a pretty hard time with it!

very unlucky though! tossers always hide in a small road near where i live to try and catch people speeding!

Sounds a bit harsh really. Only time I go round them properly is on a test lol (pita in a car). I always go over slightly especially in the wet as I'm going straight then not having to lean. When I was on my 50 and carrying as much speed as possible was important I have gone the wrong way around small (but proper) roundabouts in the middle of the night and when I can see there's no cars.

Yes, that's the idea.
So if you're in something that can't don't worry about it.
However, also covers if road conditions, etc. are against it (similar to deciding if it's safe to stop at an amber traffic light).
So, if road wet/slippery and/or fuel spils and/or etc. etc. etc. then it's a tad harsh.

Interesting... Funnily enough i was told when on my CBT that you didn't have to ride around mini roundabouts and you could go straight over them... I always thought the guy who i did it with was a cock... Maybe something todo with being a beamer rider... Wink.

Especially on a DNA, that thing has the stupidest gear selection in the world, the one I rode kept me at a steady 27mph for about half a mile, I had to stop and start again to get 45 out of it Laughing

Did you treat the rounadbout as a straight piece of road and just cross it without adjusting your speed or preparing to give-way to the right? If so it might have been that which had more to do with getting a ticket. I often approach mini roundabouts in the city and see peds whizz across them without even looking to their right. Since you have to give way to the right on a roundabout the cop might have thought that a ticket would be just the thing to make you take more care in future for your own sake.
