So I'm on the way home. Half a mile away from home while going around a round about with abit of speed, my back starts jiggling like a girl with booty. I'm lucky I didn't slide sideways or anything.
Thank goodness it only happened half a mile away from home. I had to push it the rest of the way. Exhausted now.
I've taken a look at the rear tire and its a stainless steal nail that has gotten into the tire. Thank goodness I have a day off tomorrow.

now..

Why am i going to get me some puncture repair kit for the tube? Hoping that the nail hasn't torn too much of a big hole. I'm assuming there must be better ones for motorbike tubes. and probably some slimeline (or similar) to line between the tube and the tire.
The tire is brand new aswell. With tons of tread. A new front tire is £80, i dread to think what a rear one would cost.

The strange thing is, its a nail exactly like when I was leaving my house one time on my bicycle. half a mile away from home I get a puncture just like what I got today, on my rear tire. Ended up walking back home and canceling my plans. Confused Confused

I would be surprised if it isn't tubeless.
Take wheel out and get it to at tyre shop first option.

You can do tubeless yourself but probably not worth buying the kit unless you are getting them all the time.
I've only had 3 bike punctures in 20 years so if I'd bought a kit, by the time it was needed the fluid would have gone off anyway.

I'm looking at the following website (link below) and it looks like it uses a tube (part 12).

Buy a new tube, a patch will probably let you down when you don't want it to. Tubes are cheap.

Don't know how I would get the wheel sorted tomorrow. My dad has jack to lift the bike up. But he's left his tools at work. There is a tire shop around the corner from me, up a massive hill and down again.
I've no way myself of lifting or removing the wheel off the bike.(those would have to wait until friday to use my old mans tools).

lol.
The tire shop might charge me though, to ask them to remove my tire?
I suppose I could wait until tomorrow evening when my old man comes back with his tools from work. Remove the tire, then on friday he can take the tire with him to work to remove it and put in a new inner tube.
Tires on my mountain bike were always a pain to remove. Must be worse on the motorbike.

THe majority of tyre shops are just Car/van tyres.

My City fly did have tubeless tyres even though it had spoked wheels...

Make sure it is a tubed tyre as you don't want to waste your money, it will say on the outside of the tyre wall.

I seem to remember the hardest bit about taking a tyre off the wheel is breaking the beed. However when you have the correct technique it is meant to be easy as changing a pedal bike tyre.

Edit:

Try ringing your local National Tyres, they have done a couple of my motorbike tyres before.

right, I just had a quick look.

Pirelli MT60 Tubed tyre 110/90 - 17

They look like this..

https://tinyurl.com/5nue2h

No Idea on what kind of Inner Tube I'm supposed to get though (or even more importantly, from where I am going to buy it)

edit. My old man has a national Tyres right next to where he works. So I've asked him to check for me in his lunch break Mr. Green

I've had tubeless tyres with an inner tube on my EL for the last 1500 miles, no problems yet...

Just ask for a 17 inch inner tube to fit a 110 tyre. Any inner tube stockist will know what to offer you. Thumbs Up

Go to a motorbike shop, they usually have them on the shelf.

Ask the bike shop to repair the tyre, too.

I run tubed tyres and when I get a punture I just replace the inner tube. I have never had to repair the tyre itself. Unless you've got a large rip you can see through I wouldn't worry.

Took out the screw, pushing it out with one hand, and unscrewing it with a screw driver in the other.

I did that once on the C90, a mile later the back tyre blew again at 20mph ish coming over the brow of a hill. Damn near used the back of the car in front to stop Laughing

To be honest I would have actually left the screw in until you get to the shop, far less chance of the tyre deflating then.

it deflated pretty much straight away. I was going round a round about in my area, as I straightened up the rear just went. I got off the power and gently brought it to a stop and just pushed my bike half a mile home. Thoughts guys?
New inner, new tyre? (then maybe repair the tyre to use at one point in the future)

looking at that I'd say just pop a new tube in it. Just check inside when the tyre is off to make sure there are no other things sticking through that might puncture the tube again.

If a tyre goes down again after a mile it may be that the tube has been trapped under one of the tyre beads. This'll hold air till you start riding when the tyre saws through the tube.
