I saw today in a discount store a product with the name "injector surpreme" (or some such bollocks) that was basically claiming that it improves mpg when you mix it into ya tank. I've seen similar products in halfrauds but never really taken any notice. But should I be taking notice? Are these petrolimprovers any good?

They only work if your bike is old and fucked and coked up. But on two strokes that are really affected you'd be better off doing a rebuild and cleaning the carb.

Apparently they can help a little on four strokes, but all they do is clean sooty deposits from the valves and clean out the injectors. Redex does the same job as far as I can tell.

Most fuels today have cleaners in them anyway. As said, on an old choked up engine may make a difference but i seriously doubt most of the claims on the bottles of this type of thing.
