I've been wanting a bike like hell for nearly 5 years, and i've waited patiently until i'm legally old enough to sort myself out with one - i'm doing it by the book - insurance, tax MOT etc, and it PISSES me OFF to see these stupid fourteen year old idiots screaming down the street on their dirt bikes with no protection no licence tax or any of that stuff, and worst of all, no consideration for anybody. Mad While most of us are clever enough to do it by the book u keep getting gimps like these and it just makes me wanna hit them with a second big stick that i borrow off the first guy. Does anyone else think the same way as me?

Kids like that realy piss me off too. Reading last months R!de Mag i saw that the police can now confiscate bikes from people who they feel you are likely to "alarm, distress or cause annoyance."
Im not always the bigist fan of the police but if this is inforced surely it cant be a bad thing?

Yeah. Problem with that confiscating business it it's indiscriminate - they could confiscate some 14 year old's dirt bike or my nice spanking new (when i get it) NSR125 (pix soon) depending on how i'm riding - so it's a mixed blessing - get's them off the road - has the potential to really dull down my ride. Also this business with the L plates is really annoying me - these kids don't bother with 'em while the police turn a blind eye but i'm gonna have to stick 2 all over what's supposed to look like a sports bike!

As long as you are riding within the law you have nothing to worry about! Cool

And do you know where all of these un-taxed, un-insured & un-MOT'd dirtbikes come from?

People like me who have had one knicked by the little pikey's.

I welcome the police knicking anybody who is on a moving bike without crash helmet. Maybe the police getting an order like this will be the only way the lazy g*ts find my DT.

I'm not that bitter really Wink

Those are called Pikeys. They can't have license or anything at 14. If it really annoys you, ring the police or something.

And do you do everything by the book? Confused

well as near as "by the book" as i can get until it suits me hehe. well we all start out (mostly) the same don't we? start off by the book, speed limits etc - then we start thinking "why DID they put this huge engine in here anyway" and zoom off into the distance.
I'll stay fairly reasonable for 2 reasons; 1. I'm a very new rider still figuring out how NOT to hurt myself and 2. a £3150 NSR125 ain't cheap to an 18 yr old with a £200/week job so if i dump it i'll be fairly pissed off.
