hi all,

first off, what a fuck|ng load of sh|t that is, the worst thing ever made on the planet!! i spent 1hr in the bloody freezing cold trying to fit the sh|t to my rims, see that applicator aswell... what a load of sh|t that poxy thing is!
the patent for that should be burned at stake.. twice!!
i spent £9 to shout, swear and throw things up the garden Evil or Very Mad
the whole pack doesnt even come with any instruction or tips to get the crap applyed to your rims... im seriously pissed!!

rant over.. feel a bit better now.
oh and for the record the tape is ripped to shreds and is up the garden somewhere along with a small collection of other items Twisted Evil

how do you get the tape applyed to your rims properly? not that im ever going to buy it again, just think that i at least owe it to myself to know how to get it right.

any info?
thanks lads
appologees for the rant and long post Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Was it one continuous strip? They are a pain to fit. I have rim tape fitted to my bike and bought the ready curved stuff from ebay. Much easier!

Although I have never tried to apply rim tape I think I can see where you went wrong. A job like this demands patience and time. Outside in snow and ice of December was not a good start.

The rims would need to be perfectly clean and dry as well.

i see what you mean but everytime the bloody tape got even the tinest bit dirty to the sticky side it never stuck, everytime the tape never stuck the whole roll got smaller, the smaller it got the more pressure to get it done right untill eventually that was it, instant rage Smile
but yea conditions wernt perfect either.

i did clean them with degreaser, dryed them and still after they were dry wiped them again with a clean cloth Rolling Eyes maybe that added to the rage.. spending all that time cleaning for them not to work anyway Laughing

Laughing Haha!

I had exactly the same problem. That applicator is complete dogshit and should be binned IMO. Useless! Middle Finger

The rims should be clean and dry and preferably removed from the bike to make it easier. I took the wheels off and applied the tape by hand, inch by inch. Much easier if the wheel is flat infront of you.

See my post here for details of when I did it. Mr. Green

Buy a set off ebay, they come in sets of 4 for one side of a wheel, very easy to fit I found. Helps if they are curved. Thumbs Up
