So I've filled my first ever -RW mini disk at a recent family event and it's saved in a VR format, which means I can't play it on my DVD player or PC. Maybe I should have saved it in VIDEO format instead? I just thought at least in VR it could be edited more easily...

Anyway, anyone know any good software to convert the VR to a DVD playable format, I don't really know much about this stuff!

Thumbs Up

by VR I suppose you mean DVR as in digital video recorder.

As I have said in previous threads, converting anything to dvd, the only program you need is Convertxtodvd 3

Brilliant quality and fast.

I have a cracked pro version if you need. PM me.

Problem is my PC doesn't see the file to rename it! It shows up on my computer as a DVD in the drive but sees it as empty. Same as my DVD player...

I'll have a look at Convertxtodvd 3 and let you know allymoss, thanks! Thumbs Up

Yes, definitely a -RW. I purposely bought this type so they could be edited on the camera if necessary.

Just a stab in the dark but is it like DVD recorders where you have to finalise the disk in order to play it on another recorder?

Might be worth checking the camera menu options to see if this is the case.
