Hi all, im trying to find a rear exhaust (silencer) for a ns125r on a j- plate---- but no luck Sad
Will a NSR125 exhaust bolt straight on it ,if so what years? and will it pass the mot ? OR can any other makes of 2 strokers fit on there?
I 've tried scrappys, ebay etc...... but no luck !.... Rocking horse shit springs to mind.
It wouldnt be to bad if the previous owner hadnt chopped the thing in half and removed the baffles, and then popped riveted the thing back on !-- its lose as anything !
Any ho all most finished the bike though, got all the other parts ! ( But not that Exhaust ! )

Rolling Eyes thanks, Richard

An NSR won't bolt straight onto the NS I'm afraid.

Have you tried ringing /lots/ of scrappy's?... (ie all that list an NS in MCN)
I would expect somewhere to have one, though the exahust does tend to go fastish.

If you can get the zorst looking reasonable and can find a friendly MOTer you should be okay.

Hi

Think DEP used to do a replacement silencer for the NS125. I have a couple of year old M&P catalogue that lists them at £48 for the silencer. It looks like they are road legal.

All the best

Keith

You could get away with filling, or to do a decent looking job get a sheet of 1mm stainless steel and pop rivet it over the hole. Pop riveter cost about £20, and you could get the steel from school/college/industrial estate.

I used to solder, weld and glue plates onto my CB250 exhausts before I bit the bullet and got a motad, and it lasted fine for a while.

Hi

They would probably want your soul for all eternity, or failing that an arm and a leg.

Serioulsy it wouldn't surprise me if they would want £300~£450 for a complete exhaust

It is also worth thinking about a Micron exhaust. They did these for the NS125 and they gave a decent amount of power and are legal as far as noise goes.

All the best

Keith
