Okay so I wasn't drink pissed, just pissed off this morning through home stuff and usual crap and probably the fact it isn't the weekend yet! Neutral
Anyway was on my way to work this morning when I came across an Astra doing 30 in a 40, pee'd me off but I didn't overtake because we were approaching a roundabout and I was going to be turning right and then they'd be out of my way. Got to the roundabout and without any indicating whatsoever this car goes right - now I'm seriously pissed off even more - I HATE it when people can't possibly lift a finger to push a stalk that will let me know which way they are going, poor them! Evil or Very Mad
I know these roads like the back of my hand and could see ahead enough that the road was clear, and since they were still going so slowly coming out of the roundabout I did a quick overtake before my left turn - and this is where it suddenly became complicated! Just got past the Astra and noticed some work was going on on the opposite side of the junction, lots of diggers digging etc, which had left crap all over the road. There was also a biker waiting to turn right out of this left hand road and so was in the middle of the road. So here's what I did:
1) Hit my back brake to pull back in front of the Astra and take the corner whilst starting to indicate.
2) Felt my rear end sliding so released the brake slightly and straightened up whilst aiming to miss the other biker and still take the corner.
3) Nodded to the other biker who didn't nod back, probably worried I was going to hit him!
4) Back on back brake realising I was possibly going to overshoot the corner and started sliding again, but this time just held the slide whilst taking the corner.
5) Regained grip as the road straightened and took off whilst giving myself a bollocking for getting so pissed to put myself in that situation! Laughing

Lesson learnt and of course obligatory paint diagram attached!

Letsby Avenue.

It can't really be called that. Laughing

For those who are a bit slow:

Letsby Avenue = Let's Be Having You.
