Congrats!

Book recommendation: Learn to Ride (Haynes). That took me through my CBT, Theory and Practical. It's got all the highway code stuff in it, as well as practical advice.

You can get plenty of bike for a grand if you look about.

Welcome to the forum!

^^^^^^what they said. Learn to Ride and a copy of highway code is all you need. Id also reccommend a hazard/theory cd-rom. I got one from smiths for 99p, 2006 edition but it did me a treat.
Good Luck Thumbs Up
