They go under the pillion seat. You can place them right under the bike if you wish, but hit a big bump and the wheel might make contact with the straps and cut through them Wink

I'm also totally stumped on how to make this thing fit without it sliding around everywhere. The straps provided are rubbish!

It has been some time since I put this Question up,but now I am okay and have my motrax chain bag fitted which isn't to hard.
Pull your seat off and tear the straps apart from the velcro put one end to each side of the bag (that'll be 4 clips) and clip onto the bag, place the bag onto the seat and turn the seat up side down, pull the straps tight on both sides of the bag and replace seat.
Being carefull not to get the strap position in the way of the seat lock or alarm (if fitted to the underneath of the seat) and click the seat into place may have to use some force until you hear the seat click into place.

Upon using the bag you leave the straps in place under the seat when you take the bag off,I do not use mine for the lock anymore but as a lunch come storage bag
