hi all
i have my nsr 125 almost 6 years now and recently been getting dead battery issues, despite charging battery.bike might run grand for a few days, then light strength drops.when i stop and go to start ignition its struggling very badly to start, light power low etc
it all began 3 weeks ago when i kept my finger on electric start for too long and i drained battery.is it more than just bad battery.is the fact i havent had a new battery the actual cause

I would check to make sure the battery is charging ok, then if it is a lead acid battery i would check the fluid levels, but if not any of these, it might be time for a new battery.

Good luck, Ken Thumbs Up

Hi, Have you had the battery for six years if so it is likley to be the battery its self, you have done well to have one last that long.
If it is the battery you can pick up a new one for £17-£25 but you could do with checkin the alternator/regulator are working ok.

Hope this helps
