Hi, the bike flies up until 9000rpm then seems to be flat after that. Bike is in excellent condition, just weary of carbs. Battle to get carbs sync'd. Could this be bad neddles and diaphragms? Float levels? Bike is standard and has 44 000km, bike does not smoke, just a slight bit of black smoke at high revs. Starts perfectly without choke even in winter. I replaced intake rubbers cause they had holes in them, then the bike went like a dream believe it or not, but now with new rubbers, sluggish at mid revs to 14000rpm!!!

Help would be appreciated

not restricted is it? check for abnormal washers or nylon sleeves in the carbs...
if you actually know its not restricted then i dont know really.... could be valve timing problems... check that Smile

No choke in winter and sluggish and slightly smokey in the higher revs, could this be a fuelling problem?

Sounds to me like it is restricted to 33bhp...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
