Anyone with experience of apartments with on-site gyms?

Im looking to move out of the folks home this year to venture out into the big bad world, as its about bloody time.

I've been looking at lettings in the city centre area and noticed that a number of them, as well as having nice pads, also offer on-site gyms. This would be a good advantage for me, as it'd save quite a bit of money and time having this facility basically on my door step rather than having to journey ~16 miles there and back to the gym im currently using, and no doubt it would be less busy as well!

Im wondering if anyone's had experience of these things, as in are they any good? How big was it? Was there decent equipment in there?

I understand its going to vary from place to place but just to get a general impression, as I wont be looking to book viewings myself until about March time.
