just wondering, if I were to put a k and n air filter onto my xj600n 97 model, would I need to do any kind of changing of jets or anything, as this was what was needed when i have a 2 stroke.

and if i do need to change some jets, does anyone know what jets i will need,

cheers
matt

it depends, are you talking k&n filter replacement for the filter in the airbox,
or pod/foam filters and remove the airbox completly??

if its the former, then no jets should ned to be changed,
if the later and you are ditching the air box,
then be prepaired for a world of pain and misery re- jetting the bad boy,

it took me 6 jet changes and about 20 tweaks to get my old gs running as good as before, and all that it accomplished was to use more petrol

this may be of some help

I would not bother.
If its the straight replacement for the std as they seem to cause more problems.
If its the pod ones then rejetting will be needed and looking at how the carbs are fitted a real pain in the butt to fit. As carbs intake points upwards to the tank.
For what you would gain not worth the effort and cost.
