Former head of the GMPTA Roger Jones has urged transport officials in Salford and Manchester to go ahead with plans to introduce a charge by, even though the Greater Manchester electorate rejected the proposals in a referendum in December.

He doesn't listen does he. He lost his seat on Salford city council after The electorate took their votes elsewhere because of his support for the con.
I could say I dont care about this as it wouldn't affect me, but if it was to get in then it would only be a matter of time before it was expanded.
I knew it was going to come back as a few days after the ballot my g/f (who buys a yearly bus pass) got a glossy frochure from First manchester that mentioned that the rejected proposals were under review.
