They're the bits of unused tyre on either side.
It just shows you /can/ lean the bike more.
On an NSR you should be able to get to the edge of the tyre no probs... the limits is usually ground clearance from the footpegs.
However don't just go out and chcuk the bike over until the pegs go down ... take it gradually to 'scrub in' that part of the tyre, shoudl you feel like pushing it a bit. |

Just make sure you have done a few miles to warm the tyres up before you start goin for mental lean angles.
My GS500 lost it's chicken strips the night I got it Its gonna be even better soon cuz constant burnouts/skids have worn the tyre out in 4000 miles and I have an excuse to wop a BT45 on  |

got my tyres done at 5pm, i scrubed my supercorsas for 20 miles in the nite, next morning was out knee down and no chicken strips!! hehe
