Emails from myself?

How does that work? a few times I have seen emails come from my own email address in my inbox and its viagra spam. Few times they have said failure notification like someone has been in there sending crap to come back to me. Has my btinternet addy been hacked? I havnt seen that happen in my other addresses.

Just want to know how I send me spam from my own address. Confused

Thats what it is, spam.

They use special programs to change the senders email address. You can do it yourself e.g. go on google and search anonymous email and there are website telling you what to do.

It conceals the senders ID basically.

Aye, basically when you connect to an email server, it specifically asks you what the sending address is. Pop in the recipient address and it will show to anyone as them emailing themselves.

Interesting, though not very welcome. Also when I unsubscribe from crap mail I seem to just get more from them. I take it thats a way of them getting back at me. I have at least 30 a day in one of my emails from some penis enlargment pills! its not in my own name its on boyfriends name just one I use to use for important stuff but since bt want to charge me for it I have abandoned it. I now use yahoo or hotmail.

yeh exactly what Keith said, that's how it works.

I use Windows Live Mail, and it filters everything out, if it does miss something then there's a Report and Delete button.
