Hi,

I have an ER6N 2007 model and when i brought it, brand new, the dealership said there were two ways to restric it. throttle stop or ECU. He then said that they had done both. After speaking to mates and people from work and they say it would be one or the other. Would removing the throttle stop damage the bike i it was restricted by the ECU?

Cheers Tom

Hi

Some of the official kits for bikes do both, so it wouldn't surprise me if that were the case for the ER6N.

Removing both might cause damage, but without knowing what they have done to the ECU it is impossible to say. Could land up running very lean on large throttle openings if they haven't mapped the large throttle openings on that ECU (equally could be fine, or possibly even very rich).

All the best

Keith

Why don't you ask the dealer you purchased it from.

I got mine removed a long with a service.
