New Chain and Sprockets on me bike.

How can you rivet without spending £100.00 on the official riveting tool.

Kevo.

RiDE mag just did a review on some chain tools and didn't really rate the £49 Motrax tool, but recommended a £90 one. You get what you pay for usually, and it's probably best not to skimp on something as important as youor chain.

Take it reputable garage if you don't want to get a tool though - cheapest and often fastest solution.

Hi

I have one of the £40 chain riviters. Does the job fine (but I dont try to use it for spliting the chain, got a Whale chain link splitter for that).

The problem isnt that the cheap ones dont do the job, is that they can break

All the best

Keith

I've just changed mine and didn't use one.
Angle grinder and a few hammers and bits got it on Very Happy
Use a punch or something with support on the back of the chain and hammer it Very Happy
