Hi,

The mod bug has bit me!!

It started of as me being bored silly! blah de blah and to cut things short...I ended up buying some aftermarket bits for the fly which includes: DOT 4 Castrol Brake Fluid, New handle bars, Mini Smoked indicators and a new headlight assembly. None of these have yet to arrive from Demon Tweeks. I've been told to expect a Monday delivery date. Also I'm going to buy some sticky L plates so I can cut them down.

Remember the bits I've bought already haven't arrived and My bike is in the process of getting a new top end, should be completed some time soon, I hope!....If I had some sense I would of got a big bore kit for it while it was getting mished and mashed at the engine shop along with that Mini Turbo I spoke about a few weeks ago, I should of bought that and got it installed Rolling Eyes What a missed opportunity!!

What your thinking is that...."eh? it's a City Fly...He's Lost it!" well this bike's a keeper for me so I don't mind throwing money at it what I'll never get back. Plus with it being A "Shitty Fly" it's more of a challenge to 'do up' Very Happy Challenges are fun and exciting.

I'm just hoping I grow out of this Mod Bug before I get a newer, bigger and more expensive bike, or I'll find myself having to get a Job to fund it! Confused eeek!! work?!? NOOO! but for the Mod Bug oh yeah! Very Happy

What headlight assembly? Mini fairing thing?

Embarassed

I didn't really need brake fluid, but it's a higher performance fluid than what I have at present so it is a Mod Very Happy

So it's called the "Tart Bug" in the bike world? I know it's the "mod Bug" in the car world Laughing

and here is the headlight assembly, but in Black.

Found an old advert. It was a company called Eurocilindro who did the XL125 big bore kits. Not a clue if they are still in business

All the best

no imagination - reality, i dont like standard bikes or paintjobs, plus these parts i get arent at full price, obviously Laughing ! and they look ace!

cum down chelsea bridge this comin friday, the bits dont make a big difference to my riding but make my bike special to me and to other ppl to look at, unlike standard zx6s and other bikes... no offence just my opinon

the bits ive got on soo far are very nice, the pipe is nearly a straight through and sounds like an f1 car! its loud, the rearsets make a difference as the position is altered, the clips which me and my mechanic tried to fit on today went on but didnt lock, i think they sent the wrong ones, will get onto it tomorow - they make a difference to the position as the position on the zx6 is quite sedate and upright! similar to an armchair - no offence to other zx6 riders just that im tall - long legs long arms, so its hard to find a good position on bikes. steering damper stops any tankslappers, havent had many but if i setup my suspension properly it will get ride of splappers and understeering, but who cares dampers are nice, the tires make a real difference and are ultra sticky, just dreading to use em in rain Crying or Very sad . the wheels will just be for show, and the paintjob hopefully next month! will get ride of the green, which was nice at first but no my sort of thing - and my guy is only charging me 25 cash to paint fairings, muduard, undertray, hugger and tank - which is very good price. Airfilter lets it breath alot better and nicer induction sound from airbox not that i can hear it with pipe... iridium plug - duno wat they do had a set at work so stuck em in Smile ! ohlins fr and rr will have to be in a few months times as they will really break the bank - may not need them, maybe i can get a set of zx7r forks (upside down) and put ohlins springs in them and anodise the fork stem GOLD - will look good!

i no it may be a bit too much fo a little 6, but its my little 6.
