can anyone reccomend me a good starter-bike?

i have owned 50's and 125's road legal bikes, most of which supermotos. but i got knocked off my new one. insurance have gave me a nice injury pay out, out of which i have paid out all of what i owe, and have around £1000 left over.

i have always been interested in off-roading, but never had the money to do it until now. i was wondering if anyone has any good reccomendations/tips for a first bike for me.

i have thought about a lil' 2stroke 125? what are your views on them as a starter bike? and what one could you reccomend, or do you have any alternatives?

125 2 strokes are great fun and if you havent rode one for a few years you will be in for a bit of a supprise i havent rode a proper 125 2 stroke for years then got my son a yamaha yz 125 its unbelievable great power good breaks exelent suspension iv never had so much fun might have to get my self one
