Fairly geeky i know but thought i needed to mention it.
I just bought the new need for speed. Undercover
So far in the series ive only missed out on the porsche & Ferrari edition (PC?), pro street and the odd collectors edition.
I used to love the old need for speeds, the video sequences, the info and stats of cars. The tracks were always well designed, sound was impressive and driving was enjoyable.
Am i right in thinking now the games are a little...

Yo HOMES!
Whoosh...pow....vRROOOM!
Screeeech
HEY NICE DRIVING
Thump thump thump , whoa off the chain Dawg
NOS, NOS, NOS,, WIN WIN WIN....MONAAAAAAAAY!

And has this ruined it?

Im still enjoying the game, i find the graphics a bit busy at times but still worth the money Thumbs Up

I played the early NFS's, like late 90s NFS I, II, loved em.
Played NFS Hot Pursuit 2 to death, great.
Was loving NFS Most Wanted, but it is ruined by the crappy drag racing where you basically have to learn where the cars are going to be to avoid total wipeout, it's tits. Got up to challenging the bloke on the most wanted list (7?) where you have to beat him in a drag race, but after 20 odd attempts I just can't be arsed. Never played it again since I got Flatout 2.

Its all to do with marketing.

They watched the sort of people going to watch the fast and furious series and were like, shit we need to get gangsta.
