New can - Baffle mesh pinched?

Hello everyone,

Bought a new can online for my 125 and have noticed something.

When looking down through the can, i can see the tube of mesh that holds in the baffling. Obviously this is a round tube, but in the centre of the pipe it flattens as if its pinched, to make a flatter opening as opposed to the normal round shape.

Its not easy to tell if its intentional or not, can anyone shed any light on this?

Have tried asking the sellers but no luck with a reply and cant be arsed waiting for them to get back to me.
