This has probably been done before, but not this year at least.

Been looking for Destruction Derby(2?) for the pc for a while with no luck, So it got me thinking about the games i will re-install every now and again and play for a few weeks.

Rollercoaster Tycoon
Warcraft 3 (Thinkin about this one, i'm going to have to install it when i get home)
Sim City 3
Transport Tycoon Deluxe
I'd like to put down football manager because it's essentially the same game every year.

There are a few games that i would't play again though because they will never be as good as i remember them like populous or world of warcraft.

So what are yours?

Railroad Tycoon 3
Counterstrike: Source (It frustrates me no end, but I just can't help playing it)
Sim City 3000 - Even though I suck at it.
Locomotion - A newer and better version of Transport Tycoon.

Hi

C&C Red Alert 2, Uris Revenge. Still play it pretty often.

Wish I could get the original Doom to work.

All the best

[GEEKMODE]

"The nearest to an end of Chuckie Egg is actually level 88 (or level 256 depending on how you look at it). As most people know the game loops continuously in 8-level cycles. The amount of nasties in the level remains constant after either level 32 or 40, I can't remember which. However the amount of time given to complete the level decreases during subsequent cycles until it reaches 400 at levels 80-88. Most people fail to notice this, probably because if you die the timer is automatically reset back to the start. Try completing level 88 within the time limit and without losing a life and you'll see the problem! However, the one advantage that the player has is that the nasties do not move randomly; each time you play the level their movements are identical. With enough playing you can learn them by rote and then you're laughing. After level 88 the game repeats a loop of levels 80-88 until level 256 when the game resets back to the original level 1."

The author of Chuckie Egg, posts on a board I frequent. Laughing

Werewolves of London, spectrum version on an emulator. They need to do a version of this for current hardware...

If you have access to the original .WAD files you can make Doom highly playable on win32 with the zdoom port.

I'm a bit of an ID fan so I still regularly play:

Doom
Quake
Quake III Team Arena

They run very well on the sort of modest business kit that I always seem to end up working with.

Operation flashpoint
Broken sword 1+2
Chris sawyers Locomotion (always installed, crying out for an update patch and some decent bug fixes from the man himself)
Rollercoaster tycoon (original, 2 had too many features, although I also own this, 3 completely lost the magic)
Hitman: Codename 47
Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe
Close combat II: bridge too far.
Grand Theft Auto + London
Tropico

Really old:
Cannon fodder
Urban strike

Wish I could get the original rainbow six and rogue spear to work smoothly on XP Crying or Very sad

Old games just seem so much better than what comes out currently, when they came in proper boxes with paper manual, and designed by people who appeared to actually give a toss, and not just a licence to print money.

Broken Sword 1+2
Monkey island 1+2+3
Half Life
Full Throttle

Probably I few others,

Keith if you want Doom to work download a Program called DOSBOX, you should be able to use that to play old DOS Games.

I complete Doom on Xbox arcade the other day, at least I think I completed it, got to the last level and was transfered to a dark room with hundreds of enemies that killed me instantly.

Think that is the end of the first set of levels (and all you used to get on the shareware version).

All the best
