what to do theiving scum

what would you do if you found your bike that had been stolen years before?
i have his address.
I have his phone number.
I have his email.
I have pics of my bike in bits and advertised for sale.
now im a big bloke with a short temper,i called the police and they sujested going to view the parts a a custormer to make sure they deff are mine.
problem is i have a very short fuse and dont think i can walk out there with out doing him damage and leaving all MY parts behind untill the coppers can be bothered to get of there fat lazy arses and collect.

what should i do? what would you do?

Id go and retrieve my parts then give the chap a beating untill he understands that thieving is bad expecially doing it to people who will kick the fuck out of you lol

Thing is mate you have to be careful, if you cant resist giving the chap a pasting send somebody to check the parts, u dont want a criminal record having and assault charge on your name do you?!

Id let the police deal with it if i wer you, i know they take for ever to deal with things but its the right move chap.

well im going tomorrow i think i'll call the police 1st thing and advise they come with for the safety of the other guy, if they dont come well i did warn them.
theres no way im leaving with out what ever parts are left, there on the bay so could be sold anytime!!!

Revenge is one of the things in life I enjoy the most. I'd go there, kick the crap out of him, take the keys to any vechicle he has, crash them in front of him. Even better if you have mates with you just trash his stuff a bit and then call it even, turn around and leave. I have no time for someone who steals.

Saying that you've informed the police so chances are you can't do that now they know you're paying him a visit, most likely link the two up.

over the 3 years i had the bike i spent £££££££££££££££on it big bore bigger valves bilet crankcasings highlift cams there really is an endless list and it was mint .
to see it in bits on ebay has really enraged me so much i could really do time for him happily..

If it's yours you have a legal right to just take it. Even if the guy bought it from someone else. (Even if he is not the original theif).

Don't do anything silly and beat him up. You've contacted the police about it already, they'll have logged your call (I'd imagine), so you've put yourself in the frame as a suspect if anything happens to him now.

Also, if the bike was stolen years before, there's a chance it's an innocent bloke who's bought the bike and decided later to break it for parts. Not saying that's the case (could be he is the thief himself or bought it knowingly stolen), but I doubt there's an easy way of telling for sure yourself, and is it really worth the risk of finding yourself sitting in a cell for months or years thinking about some innocent bloke you've done over (and if you're a large man with a short fuse can you be sure you're not going to end up doing any serious damage to him)? Not to mention how it'd effect your life in the future having a criminal record for assault (if you got caught). I know you probably know all this already, but just a reminder not to be swayed into doing anything hasty if people are telling you to smack him or worse (it's easy to say if you don't have to face the consequences yourself!).

I think it'd be best to persue it with the police now you've contacted them, perhaps get them to go with you to check the parts asap. If they're being lazy about it then I'd be threatening them with complaints, the local papers, bike press etc. if they don't help you (if you're playing the 'come with me or I'm worried I'll hurt him' line I'd try not to make direct threats as there might be a possibility they view that as threatening behaviour particularly if you're losing your rag with them for not helping more and this rubs them up the wrong way). Detection is part of their job as far as I know, and leaving it to you to go and view them alone as a customer seems like they're asking you to do their job for them to me. Seems a bit odd to me that they've suggested that and aren't wanting to follow it up themselves and find out what else he has stored there (or what else he's involved in). I'd be astonished if the local press don't see a story in that (and I'd guess the police know that too and would be keen to avoid bad publicity or getting a bollocking from their superiors if that happens).

Creating a false alibi is very easy. Just get a mate who looks similar to you to go to some dim pub far away from the guy's house and give you the receipt. You say you were there.

I had my bike nicked just before xmas. Reported it to the police. Police found it three days later and, since then, they have been brilliant. I have been updated several times now and I pretty much know exactly what's happening with my case.

And the policewoman who came round and interviewed me when I got my bike home was well fit.

If a ins co paid out i would get onto them. They would have far more clout with the police, as they are the one's who have lost out money wise.

now police are telling me that stickers bought from seperate sources and placed in the exact same spot as in my photos arnt proof there mine!!!
also a 1 off paint job but still might not be mine!!!!
if they get off there fat lazy arses they will probally find the frame and engine there waiting to be stripped too!!!!
