Depends what you want, normal ones or HH pads which give alot more performance or carbon ones that work when hot alot better. Depends, they will ususally all do the same job, just get what you can afford.

I wouldn't skimp on your braking system.

What sort of riding do you do?

For most people HH pads tend to be better as they offer more bite from cold and still work very well when warm. They do wear your disks out faster however.

DO NOT get race compound pads for the road regardless of their material. They don't offer enough bite from cold and will not get warm enough for road use unless you're hammering it.

Saying that if you haven't had any problems with the OE pads then stick with those.

On EBC personally I don't touch them. People I know have had the friction material come away from the backing plate, and others have warped disks(maybe not entirely the pad's fault).

Armstrong HH pads are ok and quite cheap. Sick pup from this forum does Gold Fren pads which lots of people have used and swear by. I've used Ferodo HH pads, they are pretty good. I've also heard rave reviews about Bendix and SBS road stuff.

That happened to mine after about 1500 miles on my old VFR750, although i've now got ebc discs & pads on my yzf and they're fine on that. Bad batch perhaps?

Probably, but I'd struggle to trust them again after that.

I used them on my rear disk for the FZR 400, an yes, they are an amazing set of pads! I forgot all about them! They are really good, an they warped 2 of my discs from me being unaware of the caliper sticking on lol.

Im looking into replacing the pads on my Triumph, and i've heard a few rumours about EBC'S eating your discs.
Im tempted to try some Gold Fren pads, they seem a bit cheaper than EBC's, and if they are as good then its a no brainer really. Thumbs Up
