[rant]

Was riding home from work tonight, Coming down Ash Tree Lane. It leads to a small roundabout.

I noticed this CBR400, 1 car in front, He approached the roundabout like a fanny, Feet trailing on the floor. Come on! It was hardly wet, And FAR FROM Icy!

Anyway, As he came off the roundabout, he looked back and clocked me, I was only on my pit bike By the way. And he carried on to the next roundabout.

Did a left up North Dane Way. A big semi-dual carriage hill, where EVERYBODY overtakes, He saw that I'd taken the hill too, So he slowed down to say, 10mph?

Holding up the car in front of me as well, I just pulled out and began to overtake the car and was going to overtake this n0b on the CBR too because he was winding me up. My little 125 easily does 45mph up this hill, so I was far from "Creeping" past the car, Wasn't dangerous or anything.

CBR n0b noticed I was almost beside him, So he pinned it, Obviously leaving me standing. Meh.

So I carry on, Catch back up by the top of the hill and we come to traffic.

Because this Muppet is too much of a n00b to filter, He joins the line of traffic, I just filtered to the front. Onto the roundabout, And carry on, on my way home.

About 200 meters further up this road, The cars I filtered past had tuned right at the roundabout, So this CBR was now behind me again, just quite a way back. He catches up with me, I am literally meters away from doing a right turn. And this Muppet comes SCREACHING past me almost clipping my handle bars. Tit!
Meh.

So, If this NC29 (or possibly NC23) owner is on this forum, I think your a cock, And need to learn how to ride!
Giving it the big un on your CBR400 (Training bike), Yes I know I used to have one, But I wasn't a dick like you.

Just because your not big enough to hang with the proper bikes, you feel like you have to Give it to the smaller CC bikes.

Oh, And I couldnt help but giggle at your Nice square back tyre. Wink

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Time spent on my CG showed me there were a lot more twats on bigger bikes than I thought. Sounds like a similar encounter to the experiences I had during my re:125 time.

Agree'd, If i follow a 125 on a bigger bike i just take the time to relax tbh, see how they are at riding an stuff, sounds boring but helps me not make the same mistakes.

Exactly what I do when im on a bigger bike.
I also overtake the smaller CC'd bikes, But I do it safely, I.e, NOT in the same lane.

I find that when I am following an L plater on the CBR or whatever, They ride really bad because they feel on edge that your watching their every move. Laughing

So sometimes I think its safer to actually over take them, Than follow them and possibly encourage a crash through their lack of concentration where they are looking in their mirrors at you every 5 seconds.

Hypocrisy is a bitch, ain't it?

How're you finding that hook? Smarts a bit when the line pulls on it, don't it.

Ben

I stopped overtaking them cos most of them made major errors trying to follow me, I once followed a cbr125 ridden by a girl, she was fast an cept leaving me on my CG lol, well good fun.

Yea, I usually find that as well actually.

And Siggi, I asked you a genuine question on your MOT ranting thread. You have come here simply to be a cock, as usual.

On the way home from uni today i filtered to the front to find an l-plater on a cbr125 sitting at the lights waiting for the same turning as me,

I pulled away quicker than him as its quite a tight corner, got to the next lights and let him go first and followed for a while (he was going my way), He was ok, some strange use of the indicators but then i got the idea that he was too busy looking for me too so at the next lights i just went off...

I used to race anyone and everything but now im often more content to follow behind a rider and mentally assess their riding, I say that because i have noticed in the past few years the number of riders out there for a good hoon has dropped significantly,

It used to be you would randomly see another bike of similar capacity going your way and you would both go for it... Now everyones so sensible, In the last year i can probably count on both hands the number of times another bike has been faster off the lights or actually gunned it... Quite depressing really...

Also Since i have had the ZX6R car drivers dont try it anymore either, One scooby months ago had a little play with me on the A13 (he was bloody fast, i mean i was gunning it and he was only slightly behind), I noticed as you move up to faster bikes the proportion of drivers that try and race you drops, which always used to put a smile on my face...

Dont get me wrong, I used to Love a hoon when I was out on my NC29.

But I didnt spend my time trying to prove my bike was faster than a 125 pit bike. Laughing

I used to race with the 600's, Because 400's were few and far between, And anything less than 400cc wasn't worth it.

Who? What? That's not that's bastard's thread, it's mine. Tut Tut

And no you didn't, you were having a pop. A cliched one but a pop nonetheless. Then you called me a "fvckwit", which wasn't very nice at all. Now was it. If you weren't so pretty I might have had to come round and mark you. Though I might have got you mixed up with your girlfriend, so perhaps not then. Laughing

Agreed. I have not been riding long (about 7 months all told) and although i have now passed my test and am riding a 600 i still feel like a learner in many respects. I often feel edgy when i encounter other riders, like i can feel them watching my every move and imagine them tutting and muttering criticisms behind the visor.
I would rather you lot all pass me if you see me! Mr. Green

He did. missing my bars my inches.

I wasn't indicating because I dont have indicators, But I did a shoulder check, Which is how I knew he was behind me, I moved across to the right hand side of my lane.

Then about 10 seconds later, ZOOOM!, He comes shooting up the central reservation, about 10 meters before It turned into a lane (lane for turning right).

He probably didn't realise you where turning right so just tryed to overtake you and you moved over at the same time. I dunno what the thing was with him holding up traffic unless he was letting you get infront of the car :S dunno, people do some strange things

LoL. he was being a dick. Simple.

He was holding up the traffic so he could shoot off when I got right next to him. Just to say "Look at me, My bike is faster than yours".

As for the stupid over take, I think he was just trying to show off because I filtered past some traffic he was scared to.

Well to be honest with you, riders should ride within their limits and that rider was riding within his, problem is most other bikers give them a hard time so they then take more chances and ride beyond their limits and oops!!! accident, I think a little more tolerence is needed, think about it

So you were trying to look behind you whilst weaving all over the road?

Looks like there was only one dopey cunt in that encounter - and it wasn't Mr CBR400.

What are you on about? Confused

I was riding in a perfectly straight Line, In the middle of the lane.
Glanced over my shoulder.
Then I moved over to the right.

Simple.

And this n0b on the CBR wasn't "riding within his limits", he was being a cock trying to make me look slow. (Which is clearly obvious im slow, Its a 4t 125 ffs, Its not meant to be fast.).

So you were using the old 'telepathic indicator' trick eh? Good job you didn't use your arm like all those other idiots without proper orange electrical ones, you would have lost it. Thumbs Up
