 |

Hey there people i did my CBT today and the only thing which really tripped me up was my slow-speed-control, all that weaving in and out of cones. Can anyone give me some clue how to do it successfully?
p.s. That second-third-fourth gear bit was fun ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

Well, it's kinda of down to balance. Go practise on your bike when you get one, or practise riding slowly and stuff on a pushbike maybe
Keep movements smooth, and it won't fall over at low speeds unless you start leaning/ wobbling. Confidence I guess is all part of it.
How did you find it out on the roads pulling away from lights, roundabouts and stuff? |

They didn't let me on the road due to my slow-speed-control - or lack of it, which i demonstrated by dumping a bike on my ankle which still 'urts!
I was always told by riders that riding is something you tend to adjust to your style., like some people have different tecniques - They suggest you keep the revs high and feather the clutch but this to me, was really akward, so i just let the engine tick over in 1st and left the clutch where it was - is there a reason i shouldn't have done that? ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

It's all about confidence and practice, and remembering that you shouldn't release the throttle when you're feeling wobby, but instead add a bit more revs.
Clutch slipping is ultimately the way to go, but I wasn't really taught it until I did my DAS
I know that you've already been told this (hopefully), but always look in the direction that you want to go and the bike will usually go there due to instinctive body control. ____________________ TiN
