My stepson and his mate out on their bikes today. They stopped at the Oakdene cafe in Sevenoaks. This girl was having trouble with her bike and they went over to help. The battery was knackered, so they offered to give her a push for a bump-start.

She's sat on the bike and they give her a good push, but she's all over the place - went off across the road at an angle weaving etc. They got her stopped and said "You'd be better-off just steering the bike down the hill to make it easier to bump".

She said: "Oh - I thought you guys were doing the steering aswell"

I did that the other evening at work Embarassed Pushed up the ramp in the car park in neutral, rolled straight down in neutral. Spotted my mistake once i was really close to the bottom. Back up the hill for attempt number 2 and down I went (in first this time) very close to tick over, just didn't quite start... then i realised ignition was 'off' EmbarassedEmbarassed. Third time lucky though! stupid ramp - I was knackered.
