This morning the weather wasnt that bad. Not too cold and the sun was out, so it was pretty warm ish. As always I commute to college on my bike, no matter how bad the weather is. Ive been lucky so far, even though i bought water proofs I never get to use them coz luckily it never rains when i commute (lol).

Started off nicely, no ice on the road which was a suprise. I usually ride the same road everyday but I sometimes like to go the other way which takes longer but is more fun Razz. Anyways, I was just riding along, slowed down a bit as I was getting close to traffic. Looking down a bit trying to avoid the sun blinding me, layed off the brakes and all of the sudden I lost it. Hit a big ice patch and went sliding down the road about 15-20 meters. I was only doing about 35 mph. Had my left foot traped under the bike while sliding and I was supporting myself with my left elbow.

Came to a stop. Hit the kill switch. Quickly got up and lifted the bike up. Pushed it onto side walk and just stood there thinking WTF?!?!. Looked around the bike for about 5 min, it was rideable. Off I go to college then. Arrived 30 min late, Told the tutor what happend. They wanted to send me home but I decided to stay in and my attendence is poor already Laughing.

The bike isnt too bad. Headlamp clamps bent to right side, left footpeg bent (saved the gear shifter lever Smile), scratched clutch lever, mirror and rear shock Sad .

Myself OK. Left leg a bit bruised but nuthin serious Smile

Sorry if its a bit long Embarassed

Bad news mate and it's not too long, but it's good to get it off your chest and share.

Add yourself to the spill counter, and dust yourself down. Thumbs Up
