Hi I started my bike up after xmas it's a Suzuki GP100 it now seems to have a dry sound when reving it at any speed I know it's hard to explian the noise but it seems to be coming from behind the magneto area .But having said that could this dry noise be coming from the barrel and piston .
Thanks Neil

if the bike has been standing for a while it could be a bit of rust in the main bearings.
it might go away but i used to change the ones on my yami rs100 frequently many yrs ago it had done 30k though hth

Thanks for the replies .I have checked for air bubbles in the oil pump there where none .I feel sure it's the main bearing behind the magneto that's gone .Shame really as it's only done 10 k in the last 18 years but I guess that it's been layed up for a lot of that time.

All fixed new bearings and seals have got it quiet again.
